This site is dedicated to the wild trout streams in Central Pennsylvania that I call “home” and the fly fishing opportunities that have been created as a direct result of their existence. The information contained within the pages adjacent to this one came out of necessity as there was a need for accurate information on area streams, fishing related conditions, and important events that both help and threaten the waters that countless anglers visit each year.
Living and working in the midst of it all, I have the opportunity day in and out of seeing these streams at their highs and lows. The trout that inhabit our public waterways are truly the “cream of the crop” with their beauty only rivaled by the area’s surroundings. Brown trout are the primary target of our casts and their finicky demeanor makes them an ideal challenge for the angler looking for an authentic fly fishing experience. Often times they don’t come to the net easy. It is this quality that makes us challenge ourselves to become better anglers.
Whether you’re planning a trip to Central PA for the first time or are well-familiar with the area’s streams, you will find something of substance here. Past and present streamside experiences will serve as the backbone for the site and as always suggestions, comments and/or additional information are all warmly welcomed.
